Automatically stream pre-recorded videos at session start

I agree, Thomas. I was under the impression if I uploaded a video linked to YouTube, it would automatically play at  the start time of the session and if anyone joined in-progress, it would be sync'd with everyone else viewing.

Now, I'm thinking I'm going to have to babysit the sessions all day long, changing them to webinars and triggering the video from my end...PLUS, having to change all my meeting types to pull this off.

    Hi Tom,

We had an event recently with a lot of pre-recorded content. The way we ran this was for the videos to be released at session start time, where the attendees then start playing the video themselves - which gives some challenges when it comes to the Zoom meeting Q&A after everyone has watched the video.

Getting the speakers to play / broadcast the video via a Zoom meeting / webinar was an option we decided not use, as it looked like you lost quite a bit of video quality with this.

To me the best solution would be to have the videos stream at session start, and then be able to have an embedded Zoom session just after that starts seamlessly so that attendees easily go from watching content to talking to the speaker / panel afterwards.

I totally agree...I've noticed a drop in quality by doing the playback and it defeats the purpose (and tremendous cost) of pre-recording sessions (after all, here I am up at 1:30 in the morning uploading video that I may not end up utilizing when we go live in the morning :) )

I tried putting up the video link with the autoplay option in the YouTube URL, but that still didn't work within Pathable.
